Hyatt Hotel Corporations appoints Tammy Ng to lead marketing in Asia Pacific as VP
Hyatt Hotel Corporations names Tammy Ng as VP of marketing for its APAC operations, focusing on communications, brand marketing, loyalty, and digital strategies.
Hyatt Hotel Corporations, a global hospitality company with a network of properties across various countries, has brought on board Tammy Ng as the new vice president of marketing for the Asia Pacific region. Before joining Hyatt, Tammy Ng served as the vice president for global marketing at Kohler Co and held various roles at Dyson over nine years.
In her new role, Ng will be responsible for leading strategic marketing initiatives, including communications, brand marketing, loyalty programs, and digital strategies across various markets such as Greater China, Southwest Asia, North and Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.
This appointment follows Karen Chung's transition to vice president of change management and employee experience at Hyatt Asia Pacific.
Ng's plan focuses on reinforcing Hyatt's position as a leading hospitality brand in Asia Pacific by emphasizing its unique culture, care, quality, and local expertise. She stated, "I am dedicated to promoting and enhancing the reputation of Hyatt as a premier brand across Asia Pacific."
Ng’s marketing credentials
At Kohler Co., Tammy Ng led a digital transformation initiative, focusing on enhancing the company's online and e-commerce presence. This effort included revamping Kohler's website for better user experience, implementing targeted digital marketing strategies to engage customers, and streamlining the online purchase process. The initiative aimed to increase digital sales and improve Kohler's visibility online.
During her time at Dyson, Ng launched a campaign to introduce Dyson's cordless vacuum cleaners in Asia. The campaign utilized a combination of digital marketing, live in-store demonstrations, and partnerships with influencers to highlight the vacuum's technology and convenience. This approach aimed to increase awareness and sales of the product in Asian markets.
As managing director for Dyson in Hong Kong and Taiwan, Ng managed the launch of Dyson's air purifiers. The campaign was centered around raising awareness of air quality issues and showcasing how Dyson's technology could help address these concerns. Through educational efforts, advertising, and community events, the initiative sought to position Dyson as a key player in the air purification market.
